The shoe size converter translates between four international sizing systems: EU (European), US (American), UK (British), and CM (foot length in centimeters). Understanding the differences between systems is key: EU sizes are the same for both men and women, but US and UK sizes differ significantly between genders. In the US system, women's sizes are typically 1.5 sizes larger than men's for the same foot length — a women's US 8 equals a men's US 6.5. UK sizes also vary by about 0.5-1 size between men and women.

For the most accurate fit, measure your foot length in centimeters: stand on paper, mark heel and longest toe, and measure the distance. Measure both feet (they often differ) and use the longer measurement. Measure in the evening when feet are slightly swollen.
