Scientific Calculator
Full scientific calculator with trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots and constants. Keyboard support, calculation history, DEG/RAD toggle. Free, no sign-up.
The scientific calculator brings the full functionality of a physical Casio or Texas Instruments calculator to any browser tab. It supports all standard scientific functions: six trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan and their inverses), hyperbolic functions (sinh, cosh, tanh), three logarithms (log₁₀, ln, log₂), roots (square root and cube root), powers (x², x³, arbitrary xⁿ), and mathematical constants π and e. The 2nd function layer doubles the available operations without cluttering the interface.
Full keyboard support is built in — digits, arithmetic operators, Enter for equals, Backspace for delete, and Escape to clear. This makes it significantly faster than clicking on-screen buttons for complex multi-step calculations. The DEG/RAD toggle is critical: trigonometric functions behave differently in each mode. sin(90) in DEG returns 1 (a right angle), while sin(90) in RAD returns approximately 0.894 (90 radians, about 5156 degrees). Most everyday problems use DEG; calculus and physics equations often require RAD.
The calculation history stores your last 20 results, and the ANS button lets you chain calculations — particularly useful for iterative problems. Use alongside our Percentage Calculator and Average Calculator for a complete math toolkit.
